Function parseScaleSymbol

parseScaleSymbol(symbol: string, tuning?: TuningSystem, octave?: number): Scale
Parses a scale symbol into a Scale object.

Format: "<Root> <type>", e.g. "C# dorian", "Bb harmonic minor", "D melodic minor". Root is case-insensitive. Scale type must match a key in SCALE_PATTERNS (case-insensitive).
Parameters
- symbol: string
  Scale symbol string with root and type separated by a space.
- tuning: TuningSystem = TET12
  Target tuning system (default: 12-TET). Each note goes to the step that stands for it (getStandardStep).
- octave: number = 4
  Octave for the root note (default: 4).
Returns Scale
Throws
if the symbol cannot be parsed or the scale type is unknown; RangeError if the tuning has no step for one of its notes.
