A named scale position: a CAGED shape or a three-notes-per-string pattern.

Type Declaration

name: string
'E shape' … 'G shape' ('Em shape' … for a minor tonic triad), or 'Pattern 1' … for 3nps.
span: number
Frets from the lowest to the highest note of the shape: how far the hand stretches.
startDegree: number
Scale degree the shape starts from on the lowest string (1 = the root).
